Taught by MST staff members Kate Kenyon (Co-director LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS, choreographer ANYTHING GOES, LEGALLY BLONDE, GYSPY) and Amanda Morando (Co-director LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS, director DEFYING GRAVITY) these two week workshops will also feature special guests from the MST 2016 company. Registration will be limited to the first 40 students!

Musical Theater Madness Part 1: Marin County Fair

June 20-July 1, Weekdays, 12:30-4:30pm

At Rhythms Performing Arts in Novato

Tuition: $300

Learn fun musical theater numbers to perform and compete in the Marin County Fair. Private voice lessons or semi-private dance lessons every other day. Some numbers we learn will also be featured in the show for session 2. Plus fun specialty classes in Stage Makeup, Acting Improv, Tech Theater, and more! You’ll learn a lot, plus have the excitement of competing on a big stage for the whole county – you might even win a prize! Marin County Fair day is July 1; admission is included.

Musical Theater Madness Part 2: A Whole New World DG Gallery 45 copy

July 5-15, Weekdays, 12:30-4:30pm

At Rhythms Performing Arts in Novato

Tuition: $300

Be a part of the Marin Summer Theater Show: A Whole New World and perform with talented high school and college students. This session will have fewer specialty classes than session 1, and more rehearsals for our big show on July 15 and 16. Plus, this session includes a field trip to see a final rehearsal of Little Shop of Horrors, a Marin Summer Theater Production. Performances at San Marin High School on June 15 & 16 at 8pm.

Scholarships may be available. Please ask Kate and Amanda.

Musical Madness 2016 Schedule

Classes are 12:30pm to 4:30pm, Monday thru Friday. There will be no class on July 4.

- Session One includes admission to and performance at the Marin County Fair on July 1.
- Session Two participants will be cast in solo and group numbers in MST's production of A WHOLE NEW WORLD: THE MAGIC OF ALAN MENKEN. A WHOLE NEW WORLD performs at 7pm on July 15, 7pm on July 16 and 2pm on July 17. Workshop members must attend all A WHOLE NEW WORLD performances. A WHOLE NEW WORLD will be presented at San Marin High School in Novato, CA.
