GYPSY is the story of the ultimate, aggressive stage mother and her daughters.  The rhinestone splendor of vaudeville's waning days are brought to life in this musical based on the life of burlesque queen Gypsy Rose Lee.  To the accompaniment of Jule Styne and Stephen Sondheim's zesty songs, June and Louise are dragged from one second-rate theatre to another and through a myriad of dingy hotels as their scheming mother pursues a dream of her daughters' headlining the famed Orpheum Circuit.
