INTO THE WOODS To Open 2015 Season!

241101-In To The Woods Poster-350x537

Marin Summer Theater is excited to announce that INTO THE WOODS will kick off the 2015 Season.  This Stephen Sondheim and James Lapine masterpiece takes everyone's favorite storybook characters and bring them together for a timeless yet relevant piece and rare modern classic. The TONY Award-winning book and score are both enchanting and touching.

The story follows a Baker and his wife who wish to have a child, Cinderella who wishes to attend the King's Festival, and Jack who wishes his cow would give milk. When the Baker and his wife learn that they cannot have a child because of a Witch's curse, the two set off on a journey to break the curse. Everyone's wish is granted, but the consequences of their actions return to haunt them later with disastrous results.

INTO THE WOODS will be directed by Pat Nims with musical direction by Emily Gates.  In-Person auditions for the MST 2015 Company will be held on March 28 and April 4, 2015 and video auditions will be accepted until April 4, 2015. Audition sign-ups will begin in January. Check back here soon for more INformation about the 2015 season!
