Each year, the Novato Award Program identifies companies that it believes have achieved exceptional marketing success in their local community and business category. These are local companies that enhance the positive image of small business through service to their customers and our community. These exceptional companies help make the Novato area a great place to live, work and play.

Marin Summer Theater has been honored by National Youth Arts (NYA) with fourteen nominations and six awards for the MST 2014 Season! NYA's annual National Youth Arts Awards bestows nominations and awards to honor outstanding work by youth in the arts, focusing to those under nineteen years of age. This year more than 400 productions were considered for the awards, including shows from more than 130 different theatres in more than 70 cities spanning 13 states.
Members of the MST company from all three of MST's 2014 productions of CYRANO DE BERGERAC, RENT and ANYTHING GOES earned nominations. Of our fourteen nominations, six went on to win awards in both the youth and college divisions.

The Marin Summer Theater 2014 company has been honored with ten 2014 BroadwayWorld San Francisco Awards. Voted each year by the readers of BroadwayWorld.com for excellence in local theater, every production from the 2014 MST season won at least one award with MST also sweeping the best Leading and Supporting Actor and Actress categories. The ten awards surpassed last year's record of seven BroadwayWorld San Francisco Awards earned by the 2013 MST company.
Marin Summer Theater has been honored by National Youth Arts (NYA) with twenty-four nominations and five awards for the MST 2013 Season, including Outstanding Production for Les Miserables. NYA's annual National Youth Arts Awards bestows nominations and awards to honor outstanding work by youth in the arts, focusing to those under nineteen years of age. This year more than 400 productions were considered for the awards, including shows from more than 130 different theatres in more than 60 cities spanning 12 states.
Members of the MST company from all three of MST's 2013 productions of GYPSY, Almost Maine and Les Miserables earned nominations. Of our twenty-four nominations, five went on to win awards. NYA's primary categories are reserved for performers under nineteen-years-of-age, but this year it established Junior and College divisions to honor exceptional performances in those groups. MST won four NYA awards in 2012.

Marin Summer Theater (MST) is an award winning non-profit theater company for students of performing arts between the ages of 13 and 23. The MST company prepares and presents three fully-staged productions in a six-week summer season. MST's mission is threefold: To present exciting, professional quality drama, musical theater and musical revue productions; to keep tuition as low as possible so that cost is not a barrier to participation; to create a diverse company of college and high school students.
