MST to Fly High At 2015 Mountain Play

mountainplaypeterpan1 Mark your calendars! MST will be the pre-show entertainment for the Mountain Play's production of PETER PAN on Sunday, June 14 at 12:30pm.

Marin Summer Theater will be flying high as pre-show performers at the 2015 Mountain Play! We love performing on Mount Tam and this will be our third time warming up the crowd of over 2,000 people on June 14 as they wait for PETER PAN. We are very thankful and grateful to the Mountain Play staff for giving us another chance to share the magic of MST with their audience.

MUSICAL THEATER MADNESS 2015 Registration Open!

2015-MTM-Flyer400x518 One year of madness was not enough! Back for a second year, Marin Summer Theater has announced that registration is now open for MUSICAL THEATER MADNESS 2015, a workshop just for kids between 9 and 14 years of age!

MUSICAL THEATER MADNESS is three weeks of high-energy dancing, singing and acting, culminating in four performances the MST production of DEFYING GRAVITY - THE BEST OF STEPHEN SCHWARTZ. Taught by MST staff members Kate Kenyon (choreographer ANYTHING GOES, LEGALLY BLONDE, GYSPY) and Amanda Morando (Momentum Vocal Ensemble) this three week workshop will also feature special guests from the MST 2015 company.

Registration will be limited to the first 40 students!

Now Accepting Applications for the 2015 Company!

Applications for the award winning Marin Summer Theater 2015 Company are now being accepted! Do you want to be part of the 2015 MST season of INTO THE WOODS, DEFYING GRAVITY, and IN THE HEIGHTS as a member of the Creative Team, a Performer, Tech or Musician? If yes, then check out the calendar and then submit an application for your audition (perfomers) or your interview date (everybody else).

There will only be two days of In-Person auditions this year, on March 28 and April 4. Interviews and auditions are on a first-come first-served basis so if you are interested, you should submit your application ASAP.

Performers! This year you can sing two one-minute songs for your audition. No monologue!

The 2015 Season Is Set!

The Marin Summer Theater 2015 Season is now set! in 2015, MST will present:

Into The Woods	Directed by Pat Nims, Musical Direction by Emily Gates
Defying Gravity, The Best of Stephen Schwartz	Directed by Kate Kenyon and Amanda Morando
In The Heights	Directed by Pat Nims, Choreography by Kate Kenyon, Musical Direction by Samantha Masslehbrown

In addition - we are thrilled to announce that many of our 2014 production team including Marina Nims, Courtney Johnson, Carrie Mullen, David Prohero, Margaret Buss, Cameron McNally and Cheryl Tillotson will be returning!

In-Person auditions for the MST 2015 Company will be held on March 28 and April 4, 2015 and video auditions will be accepted until April 4, 2015. Audition sign-ups will begin in January.
