  • Have a great summer!  We're also taking a break

After nine years, twenty-nine productions, and fifty-five awards, Marin Summer Theater is giving the creative team the summer off, so there will be no MST productions in 2018.  We look forward to making insanely great theatre with you, and for you in the future!

IN THE HEIGHTS completes the 2015 Season!

InTheHeights POSTER-350x543

Marin Summer Theater is thrilled to announce that IN THE HEIGHTS will complete the 2015 Season. IN THE HEIGHTS tells the universal story of a vibrant community in New York's Washington Heights neighborhood – a place where the coffee from the corner bodega is light and sweet, the windows are always open and the breeze carries the rhythm of three generations of music. It's a community on the brink of change, full of hopes, dreams and pressures, where the biggest struggles can be deciding which traditions you take with you, and which ones you leave behind. IN THE HEIGHTS is the winner of the 2008 Tony Awards for Best Musical, Best Score, Best Choreography and Best Orchestrations.

IN THE HEIGHTS will be directed by Pat Nims with choreography by Kate Kenyon. In-Person auditions for the MST 2015 Company will be held on March 28 and April 4, 2015 and video auditions will be accepted until April 4, 2015. Audition sign-ups will begin in January.

About Marin Summer Theater

Marin Summer Theater (MST) is an award winning non-profit theater company for students of performing arts between the ages of 13 and 23. The MST company prepares and presents three fully-staged productions in a six-week summer season. MST's mission is threefold: To present exciting, professional quality drama, musical theater and musical revue productions; to keep tuition as low as possible so that cost is not a barrier to participation; to create a diverse company of college and high school students.
