2015 Audition Dance Recordings
Below are recordings of Kate Kenyon (DEFYING GRAVITY and IN THE HEIGHTS Choreographer) showing you the audition dances so you can learn them before you audition!
There are two dances and two versions of each dance:
1. General Dance Audition
This is the audition that everyone auditioning for the 2015 season must perform. There is a version with Counts and a version with the Music.
2. Featured Dancer Audition
This dance is also required for anyone that would like to be a featured dancer in DEFYING GRAVITY or IN THE HEIGHTS. There is a version with Counts and a version with the Music.
INTO THE WOODS Principal Audition Sides

INTO THE WOODS is a singer / actor show. James Lapine and Stephen Sondheim take everyone's favorite storybook characters and bring them together for a timeless yet relevant piece and rare modern classic. The TONY Award-winning book and score are both enchanting and touching.
The story follows a Baker and his wife who wish to have a child, Cinderella who wishes to attend the King's Festival, and Jack who wishes his cow would give milk. When the Baker and his wife learn that they cannot have a child because of a Witch's curse, the two set off on a journey to break the curse. Everyone's wish is granted, but the consequences of their actions return to haunt them later with disastrous results.
One of Sondheim's most popular works, Into The Woods is a musically sophisticated show with the opportunity to feature actors adept at dark comedy.

DEFYING GRAVITY: THE BEST OF STEPHEN SCHWARTZ, is a musical review based on the work of the popular composer lyricist of such hits as WICKED, PIPPIN, GODSPELL, POCAHONTAS, and many more. The show will include solo, duet, small and large group numbers performing songs and dances from Mr. Schwartz's shows. The four songs listed below are representative of the songs that will be in the show. Performers wishing to be considered for a featured vocalist role should prepare one or two songs from this list.
