DEFYING GRAVITY: THE BEST OF STEPHEN SCHWARTZ, is a musical review based on the work of the popular composer lyricist of such hits as WICKED, PIPPIN, GODSPELL, POCAHONTAS, and many more. The show will include solo, duet, small and large group numbers performing songs and dances from Mr. Schwartz's shows. The four songs listed below are representative of the songs that will be in the show. Performers wishing to be considered for a featured vocalist role should prepare one or two songs from this list.

- For In-Person Auditions - After you have done your general audtion, you may be asked to stay for call backs. If you are asked to callbacks you will be asked to perform from these sides. Do not perform these sides as part of your general audition. Your general audition should be two one minute songs from shows MST is not producing this year. These sides are for callbacks only.
- Recorded Auditions - If you are submitting a recorded audition, you should include recordings of you performing sides for all parts for which you wish to be considered, in addition to your general audition songs. Your general audition should be a two one minute songs from shows that MST is not producing this year.
