Legally Blonde, The Musical

Omigod You Guys! Legally Blonde In 2012!

MST is going Blonde in 2012!  Marin Summer Theater will be producing Legally Blonde the Musical in the summer of 2012.

Based on the novel Legally Blonde by Amanda Brown and the 2001 film of the same name, it tells the story of Sorority start Elle Woods, doesn't take "no" for an answer. So when her boyfriend dumps her for someone "serious," Elle puts down the credit card, hits the books, and sets out to go where no Delta Nu has gone before: Harvard Law. Along the way, Elle proves that being true to yourself never goes out of style and discovers how her knowledge of the law can help others.

The music and lyrics by Laurence O'Keefe and Nell Benjamin and book by Heather Hach.

During its first year on Broadway in 2007, Legally Blonde the Musical earned seven Tony Award nominations, 10 Drama Desk Award nominations and an Outer Critics Circle Award. The show also ranked in the top 10 for the most requested Ticketmaster "Arts & Theatre Events" for 2007.

With great dance, music and a whole lot of pink, MST is very excited to bring this popular new musical to the North Bay.

Auditions for the MST 2012 company will be held in March. Watch here for more information on the MST 2012 season, coming soon.
