MST 2014 Company Wins Six National Youth Arts Awards!

nya banner4Marin Summer Theater has been honored by National Youth Arts (NYA) with fourteen nominations and six awards for the MST 2014 Season! NYA's annual National Youth Arts Awards bestows nominations and awards to honor outstanding work by youth in the arts, focusing to those under nineteen years of age. This year more than 400 productions were considered for the awards, including shows from more than 130 different theatres in more than 70 cities spanning 13 states.

Members of the MST company from all three of MST's 2014 productions of CYRANO DE BERGERAC, RENT and ANYTHING GOES earned nominations. Of our fourteen nominations, six went on to win awards in both the youth and college divisions.

About Marin Summer Theater

Marin Summer Theater (MST) is an award winning non-profit theater company for students of performing arts between the ages of 13 and 23. The MST company prepares and presents three fully-staged productions in a six-week summer season. MST's mission is threefold: To present exciting, professional quality drama, musical theater and musical revue productions; to keep tuition as low as possible so that cost is not a barrier to participation; to create a diverse company of college and high school students.
